本卦象﹕
離，利貞。亨。畜牝牛。
離卦乃兩陽爻間附著一陰爻，宛如火勢熊熊而光明燦爛，代表著理性、文化、文明、 教化等；離者麗也，乃相互依附、逢合、牽掛之意；因此，光明之火， 能照耀天地並化育成天下之萬物。 本掛意謂著唯有堅守正道、正途，凡事才能得到亨通，然須效法母牛般， 具有溫順 的柔德、操守，方能吉詳吉利。

初爻﹕
履錯然。敬之，旡咎。
要注意身邊事物。開始是重要時機。

二爻﹕
黃離，元吉。
若有公正性，則有利展開。

三爻﹕
日昃之離。不鼓缶而歌，則大耋之嗟。凶。
下坡之時。勉強行事會損失。

四爻﹕
突如其來如。焚如、死如、棄如。
過份相信力量會起災難。

五爻﹕
出涕沱若。戚嗟若。吉。
若能動腦並請好友幫忙即有好結果。

六爻﹕
王用出征。有嘉折首。獲匪其醜，旡咎。
不妨前進。採取寬大的處置。

The Clinging. Perseverance furthers.
It brings success.
Care of the cow brings good fortune.
That which is bright rises twice:
The image of Fire.
