艮

本卦象﹕
艮其背，不獲其身。行其庭，不見其人。旡咎。
艮山卦為止、主靜，乃二少年同處之卦象，亦是一意虛心學習， 或是隱居山林悟道之卦象；又人生的各種狀況通常會顯現於背， 如落魄衰敗的背影乃命運之違、心身的不健全所致，若人生充實、有德行時， 便表現於背上、臉上的；另本卦各爻均無正應，故要能覺悟而獨立以行道。

初爻﹕
其。只旡咎。利永貞。
停止之時，維持現狀較好。等待未來的時機。

二爻﹕
艮其腓。不拯其隨。其心不快。
限制頗多無法前進。

三爻﹕
艮其限。列其夤。厲薰心。
有二條路不知何去何從，貪心會遭災。

四爻﹕
艮其身。旡咎。
思考何時該停止後再行動。有可能接受重任。

五爻﹕
艮其輔。言有序。悔亡。
注意發言，不要失言。

六爻﹕
敦艮。吉。
停止在恰當的時後，因此可獲得幸運。迎向最終階段。

Keeping Still. Keeping his back still
So that he no longer feels his body.
He goes into his courtyard
And does not see his people.
No blame.
Mountains standing close together:
The image of Keeping Still.
Thus the superior man
Does not permit his thoughts
To go beyond his situation.

Six at the beginning means: Keeping his toes still. No blame. Continued perseverance furthers.
Six in the second place means: Keeping his calves still. He cannot rescue him whom he follows. His heart is not glad.
Nine in the third place means: Keeping his hips still. Making his sacrum stiff. Dangerous. The heart suffocates.
Six in the fourth place means: Keeping his trunk still. No blame.
Six in the fifth place means: Keeping his jaws still. The words have order. Remorse disappears.
Nine at the top means: Noblehearted keeping still. Good fortune.
